Open Horizons is an educational conference for persons who are interested in information concerning developmental disabilities and mental retardation. It gives providers, families and persons with disabilities a chance to meet and discuss the things that are important to them.
It is sponsored by the SEAHDC's Volunteer Council, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Volunteer Council is composed of persons in the community who are interested in serving as advocates and the fundraising arm for the Center. Part of their duties involve educating persons about issues surrounding disabilities.
The assistance of the Council, staff volunteers and financial partners make this conference possible.
